serVonic Offers Unified Messaging for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses

serVonic now offers the IXI-UMS Small Business Edition for companies with up to 50 users. This special edition allows small and medium-sized businesses to deploy a mature unified messaging solution at a reasonable price. It contains an IXI-UMS Kernel for 2 channels, an IXI-UMS Connector and optionally one or several services. The Kernel executes all the system-independent tasks. The UM-solution is integrated into system environments like Microsoft Small Business Server, IBM Domino Collaboration Server Express or other SMTP-based mail systems via the Connector. The services enable the users to send, receive and administer not only e-mails, but also faxes, voice mails and short messages with the client they are used to. They can listen to their voice mails from on the way - by mobile phone or telephone. The IXI-UMS Client Tools offer further comfort features: With the buttons Fax and SMS, the users can send faxes or short messages directly out of MS Outlook or IBM Lotus Notes. The feature Auto fax allows to send faxes directly out of Word. The IXI-UMS Small Business Edition is available for 10, 25 and 50 users.

With the IXI-UMS Small Business Edition, we offer small and medium-sized businesses the IXI-UMS Unified Messaging Server Software in a range designed to meet their needs, at a reasonable price, says Eckhard Klein, CEO at serVonic GmbH. The IXI-UMS Small Business Edition, like always, works directly with the respective mail store of the messaging system. There is no data replication. Therewith, the need of resources and hardware remains low. The users work with the interface they are accustomed to, so they can handle the new features intuitively. They do not have to learn a new program. Available features like rule assistant or public folders can also be applied with UM-messages.
