(AME Info (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) (KRT) Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) Mar. 26--LUCENT, ALCATEL MERGER TALKS: Lucent and Alcatel have confirmed that they are in talks 'about a potential merger of equals that is intended to be priced at market'. There can be no assurances that any agreement will be reached or that a transaction will be consummated and no further comment, said a press statement.
BAYT.COM FETES FIVE YEARS: The Middle East's online recruitment and career planning company, Bayt.com, celebrated its fifth year of success in Jordan. Bayt.com management entertained 75 top corporate clients from the Kingdom at the Sheraton Hotel in Amman. BATELCO, NEW PAYMENT OPTION: Batelco has announced that in the event of disconnection, a customer will be automatically connected to a pre-recorded message which will include the amount overdue and provide the option to settle the account using a credit card. Once the card has been authorised by the system, the full service will be restored.
