Gensym Launches Rule-Driven Business Management Engine; Major Upgrade of G2 ReThink Sets New Standard for Optimizing Time-Sensitive Business Decisions

Capabilities Span Business Process Lifecycle

Built on Gensym's proven, award-winning G2(R) real-time business rule engine, G2 ReThink 5.0's capabilities span the entire business process lifecycle including:

-- Modeling: Users rapidly create enterprise process models through graphical configuration of business activities, resources, and constraints. Natural-language business rules linked to decision points capture policy and practice logic. Rules are time sensitive - for instance rules can react instantly to business events; rules can reason about what happened five minutes or two days ago; and tens of thousands of rules can execute every second. Version 5.0 improves real-time execution of rules, enhances modeling of resources, and improves user productivity via a redesigned user interface.

-- Analysis: Dynamic, realistic simulations validate models and enable what-if analysis of alternative process designs and rules. A rich set of analysis tools including charts, tables, and links to third-party tools, such as Microsoft Excel, facilitate assessments of performance.
