Netcordia Names Network Infrastructure Leader Don Pyle as Its New CEO; Former Juniper Networks and Laurel Networks Executive to Spearhead New Era of Growth for the Company
ANNAPOLIS, Md. --(Business Wire)-- July 11, 2006 -- Netcordia, a leading provider of network analysis tools, today announced the appointment of Don Pyle as its new chief executive officer. As the new CEO, Don will spearhead the accelerated growth of Netcordia and its NetMRI network analysis appliance. Netcordia's founder and original CEO, Terry Slattery, will continue with the company as CTO, and will work closely with Don to ensure that NetMRI keeps meeting the growing challenges enterprise network managers are facing with security, compliance, and new services such as VoIP and Video.
Don Pyle brings to Netcordia an impressive track record in the network infrastructure market, with leadership roles spanning a variety of companies at different stages of growth. Prior to joining Netcordia, he was CEO of Laurel Networks, which was acquired by ECI Telecom in 2005.
"With Don Pyle's extensive leadership and management experience with emerging and successful network technology companies, Netcordia's future is even brighter," said Terry Slattery. "I personally recruited Don, because I see him as key to accelerating our growth and building the company and products that meet the challenges faced by our present and future customers."
Leading companies in commerce (including several Fortune 500 companies), financial services, health care, education as well as federal and state agencies and the military use NetMRI to meet the challenges of today's enterprise networks. "Netcordia has exceeded our expectations in terms of revenue, customer satisfaction, and product development," said Phil Bronner, partner of Novak Biddle. "Don brings unique leadership to this team which will help Netcordia continue its rapid development."
NetMRI is the only automated network diagnostic appliance that goes beyond reporting to provide analysis based on expert rules and best practices. NetMRI scans the complete network infrastructure, analyzes the health of all the key systems-level areas, prevents problems and provides improvement -- like an MRI. It has won numerous awards, and has been described by Network Computing as "the most useful network management product in five years."
"Netcordia is an exciting company with strong product solutions that address the needs of the enterprise and government markets," said Don Pyle. "I look forward to working with Terry Slattery, building a world class team and helping Netcordia realize its full potential."
