Red Bend Software announces licensing agreement with SANYO

Red Bend Software Japan KK, a provider of mobile software management
technology, announced on Friday (3 August) a licensing agreement with
SANYO Electric Co Ltd, a provider of electronic devices, to use Red
Bend's device management client software suite in mobile phones
manufactured by SANYO.
Under the terms of the agreement, SANYO has licensed Red Bend's RDM
client suite, an Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) Device Management compliant
and interoperable solution for mobile phones and wireless devices, for
its CDMA mobile phones.
According to the company, the DM client suite enables mobile operators
and handset manufacturers to remotely manage mobile devices in the
field. It works with any OMA DM server to enable remote configuration,
provisioning, diagnostics and updating of mobile phones over the air
(OTA).
No financial details were disclosed.
