DesignBlox Launches New Banner Technology Which Allows Advertisers to Dynamically Alter Flash Display Ads in Real Time Without Having to Redesign, Build or Re-Traffic an Existing Ad
BOSTON --(Business Wire)-- As online advertising budgets grow in size advertisers are tasked with managing extensive creative portfolios to meet ever changing promotions and marketing programs. Marketing departments and ad agencies need to constantly develop new creative to keep up with varying offers and dynamic media buys. Making changes regularly for numerous ad units can be an operational nightmare and an enormous cost to the advertiser. In addition, optimizing creative and executing tests in an ad server environment while not knowing exactly why ads were really working make any campaign a challenge to manage effectively.
Conquering these challenges has now become an easy task. Adroit, powered by DesignBlox (http://www.designblox.com), is an ASP-based platform that allows advertisers to dynamically alter components of their Flash display ads in real time without having to redesign rebuild or re-traffic an existing ad. With Adroit technology a single ad template can become unlimited versions of itself. The platform can sequence messages based on any number of key behavioral targeting and demographic variables that are defined by the user, and, Adroit enabled ads can be populated via external databases or RSS feeds.
"Using Adroit technology advertisers have complete control over their campaigns, and detailed analysis of exactly what elements of existing creative are working and why," said Judy Gern, CEO of DesignBlox. "If you compare the cost to CPMs on media buys, it is typically a relatively small percentage increase, but the real comparison is when you look at what advertisers pay to produce multiple versions of each banner, make changes, etc. An existing client saved $23,000 in agency production costs by using Adroit to dynamically update and manage their creative - and that was for one campaign alone."
"In the online world, we (advertisers) have been forced to accept optimization as established by the ad servers, and their techniques don't provide insight into what exactly is having an impact on response. This makes it very difficult for us to replicate past successes with creative," stated Jay Friedman, President of Goodway 2.0 and client of Adroit. "Additionally, ad servers have few tools to help advertisers minimize waste. When testing in an ad server environment, it is up to the advertiser to check the status of the test, do the math, and figure out if they have enough information to get a good result. Adroit is a great solution to these issues."
Adroit technology includes A/B and multivariate testing capabilities that assist in determining the effectiveness of individual ad components; including messaging and banner images. The platform works with any Flash display ad, including expandable units, giving advertisers the power to design however they want, then manage and test the contents in real-time saving both time and money.
Goodway 2.0 signed up for Adroit immediately upon learning about the technology in order to provide creative optimization capabilities to clients such as General Motors and the Chrysler Corporation, and has plans to use the technology heavily in several races for political clients in the 2008 election.
There is a one-time implementation fee to configure the database, plus usage, which is priced by CPM or monthly flat fee, depending on volume. Professional services are also available to assist clients with more advanced testing features such as test development and analysis, Flash banner creative, etc.
