(AME Info (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Jan. 19--LBI WINS ETIHAD PITCH: Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has appointed digital agency LBi to deal with its online strategy. The agency will look the carrier's site and concentrate on maximising the group's online platforms. LBi was among eight groups competing for the contract.
QFC LAUNCHES NEW GLOBAL AD CAMPAIGN: The Qatar Financial Centre Authority has announced the launch of a new integrated advertising campaign for television, print media and the internet. The new campaign, which is already running on Bloomberg tv and will shortly be airing on CNBC, CNN, BBC World News and Al Jazeera, is the third international advertising campaign developed by the QFC since it was opened in 2005. The new campaign introduces the tag line of Business Energy. It captures the energetic approach that the country has taken to its development, and the rapid growth in the economy and the physical scale of the country's infrastructure. It also underlines the role that the QFC is playing in the development of Qatar's economy.
ORBIT WINS RIGHTS ON FOX SPORTS: Bahrain-based pay-TV broadcaster Orbit Satellite Television and Radio Network has snatched the exclusive rights to air Fox Sports from Jordanian-based Arab Radio and Television Network (ART), The National has reported. Orbit has also taken Fox News from ART last month. ART Sports has previously taken ESPN from Orbit.
