Optenet launches Web 2.0 content security solutions

Optenet, an IT security company and provider of content security
solutions, today (6 March) announced the availability of a suite of
applications offering Web filtering, anti-virus, anti-spam,
anti-phishing, anti-spyware, malware, peer-to-peer and instant
messaging protection.
Optenet's NetSecure, MailSecure, WebSecure and WebFilter applications
are integrated with the company's GIANT (Global Intelligence
Acquisition Network for Threats) collective intelligence network
designed to study Internet traffic and pushes updates out to every
Optenet installation.
The company said that its new security solutions empower enterprises
with the real-time performance and positive end user experience service
providers already rely on. The solutions are based on its Carrier Class
Optenet Transparent Traffic Analyzer (CCOTTA) architecture and provides
real-time performance without requiring expensive hardware. CCOTTA also
provides enterprise IT managers with the peace of mind of knowing they
will not be in a constant refresh cycle of purchasing faster, more
expensive appliances as bandwidth or user requirements increase.
