Major Exhibitors and New Technology Events Added to CEA Line Shows and Digital Downtown Conference

ARLINGTON, Va. --(Business Wire)-- The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® announced today new exhibitors, conference sessions and events for the CEA Line Shows and Digital Downtown Conference Program, scheduled June 10-11, 2009, in New York City. The event will bring together media, analysts and technology professionals for two days of exhibits and conference sessions focused on CE innovations and the latest market trends.


The CEA Line Shows will feature more than 35 product showcases displaying the latest innovations from leading CE manufacturers. New exhibitors include Alcatel-Lucent, ClickFree, Eviant, Mitsubishi, Monster and Nextar, and join Boxee, Cobra, Contour Design, Disc Eraser, Ergo-Tilt, Hantech, Help Alert, Instinctiv, Lightglove, Minoru, OmniMount, Pongr, SmartFish, SoundSense and Toshiba.

Technology pavilions highlighting new market-specific innovations also will be on display at the CEA Line Shows, including the Gadget Nation Pavilion, Mobile Apps Lounge and the Techlicious Lounge.

The Digital Downtown Conference Program will also feature two conference tracks. The Digital Downtown CE Reality Check Conference will focus on new product trends, business models and sales opportunities. New sessions added to the track include: CEA's Mid-Year Reality Check, June 10: CEA economist Shawn DuBravac will present industry trends and CE sales figures.

New CE Business Models Cater to New Media Appetites, June 10: Moderated by Richard F. Doherty, The Engineering Group, attendees will hear from industry thought leaders on new business models and consumer pricing for the 2009 holiday season and beyond.

After the Transition: New product and technology trends from DTV and beyond, June 11: CEA analysts will discuss new product trends surrounding the DTV transition and future trends in the digital realm.

Women Editors Technology Shootout, June 11: Hear the latest market research surrounding women's CE purchase patterns.

Additionally, new sessions added to the Digital Downtown To Go conference track, focused on mobile devices and apps, include: The Year of Smartphones - Is there a Winner, June 10: Hear which smartphones are leading the market.

Mobile Apps Shootout, June 10-11: Attendees will experience the hottest mobile apps coming to market and will see which apps will stand the test of time.

The New World of Old Media, June 11: Host Alan Brody will highlight the latest trends media trends in the digital era.

In addition, the "NY Tech Start-Up Classic" will feature product demonstrations and presentations of the most dynamic, cutting-edge technology emerging in the marketplace. The top prize for the winning product is a booth at the 2010 International CES in Las Vegas.
