Cellular South to offer connected netbook
(Telecomworldwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) US mobile communications provider Cellular South today announced that it will be offering a Dell Inspiron Mini 10 netbook with inbuilt 3G high speed mobile broadband contracts.
Customers can purchase the netbook for USD199 when they sign a two-year mobile broadband agreement, with monthly costs of USD59.99 for a 5Gb monthly data allowance or USD39.99 for a 500Mb monthly allowance. The operator is offering a 20% discount to students.
The Dell Mini 10 netbook has a compact 10.1 inch screen, weighs just 2.6 lbs and features an edge-to-edge keyboard. Other features include GPS, a 16:9 display aspect ratio, an 802.11 wi-fi connection, a 160 GB hard drive, 1Gb of internal memory and an Intel Atom Z520 processor with the Windows XP Home edition operating system installed.
