Westcon Group Inks Distribution Pact with LogLogic

Dec 18, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Westcon Group Inc., a specialty distributor in networking, convergence, security and mobility, and LogLogic, a log management and security event management company, announced that Westcon will distribute LogLogic's log management appliances and security applications to customers throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.


LogLogic noted that its solutions are compatible with the vast majority of Westcon Group's other vendor solutions including Cisco, Avaya, Nortel, Microsoft, Polycom and others. The company said its solutions also provide a completely searchable, appliance-based platform for collecting, storing, reporting and alerting on user and system activity data.

"LogLogic's solutions can play a very important role in helping businesses gain transparency into their network operations while ensuring they meet compliance requirements," said Anthony Daley, executive vice president, The Americas, Westcon Group. "These solutions are a perfect add on solution for our resellers, since log management is the basis for understanding network activity. There are many additional applications and solutions that our customers can add on as a result of this knowledge." Westcon said its agreement with LogLogic enables its customers to offer pre-packaged compliance suites with out-of-the box reports and alerts for PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley (COBIT), HIPAA, ISO, ITIL, FISMA and NERC. Also, compliance and business processes can be quickly transformed from log data into intelligence.
