Mobile Apps Showdown at CES Names Gwabbit Finalist

Dec 23, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Gwabbit, a provider of automatic email contact management solutions for the contact cloud, announced that it has been selected as a finalist for the Mobile Apps Showdown competition at CES.

According to the Gwabbit, the company has also earned a spot on BlackBerry App World's "Top 25" List. The free version of Gwabbit, which automatically searches and identifies contacts embedded in emails and adds or updates that information to your information in a single click, is available for all BlackBerry smartphones.

"December has already been an amazing month for Gwabbit," said Todd Miller, president and founder, Gwabbit. "We are very encouraged and honored to have been selected as a finalist for the Mobile Apps Showdown at CES, and very happy to have made App World's Top 25 list within days of having launched our new free version of Gwabbit for BlackBerry." Mobile App Showdown's Top 20 finalists were chosen by a panel of editors from NetShelter.net properties. Each of the Top 20 finalists will be given the opportunity to present their apps from the floor stage of the Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall during CES. Those presentations will be videotaped and posted on the Mobile Apps Showdown Website. From the top 20 apps, the judges (with input from site visitors) will select the top 10 Apps. The Top 10 Apps will proceed on to the final competition, which will be held on Saturday, January 9 at 12:30 p.m. at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The audience will vote for the final overall winner by applause-o-meter.
