Action urged on Do Not Call list

Jan 27, 2010 (The Age - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian Government's "Do Not Call" list was launched in May 2007, but households must register every three years in order to block telemarketing calls. The Australian Communications Consumer Action Network wants registrations to be permanent, warning that many consumers will soon be inundated with unsolicited phone calls if they fail to renew their registration. The Government is currently reviewing the Do Not Call list.
