BRIEF: More potential Hennis jurors are queried at Fort Bragg

Mar 12, 2010 (The Fayetteville Observer - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Prosecutors interviewed six more potential jurors in the court-martial of Army Master Sgt. Timothy B. Hennis at Fort Bragg this morning.

All six -- three colonels and three command sergeant majors -- said they could be fair and impartial. The defense was to question the group later.

Hennis is charged with murder in the deaths of Kathryn Eastburn and two of her children in Fayetteville in 1985. He could face the death penalty, if convicted.

Ten jurors have been seated so far. All were questioned closely about their opinion of capital punishment.

If attorneys follow the pattern established in jury selection so far in the Hennis tribunal, they will likely interview three of the six individually this afternoon.
