BRIEF: Robbery reported at T.O. bank

Mar 13, 2010 (Ventura County Star - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- A bank robbery was reported Friday afternoon in Thousand Oaks, authorities said.

The robbery was reported about 2:14 p.m. at First California Bank, 11 E. Hillcrest Drive, said Capt. Frank O'Hanlon of the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.

The robber presented a note to a teller demanding cash and left the bank on foot with an undetermined amount of money, O'Hanlon said.

No weapon was reported seen, and no one was reported injured in the robbery.

Ventura County Sheriff's deputies were searching the area for the robber this afternoon, and FBI officials were responding to the scene, O'Hanlon said.

The robber was described as a roughly 6-foot-tall man from 25 to 30 years old with a medium build. He was wearing a blue-green baseball hat with a dark green long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and black-rimmed glasses, O'Hanlon said.
