Lexmark International Filed Complaints With The ITC, Federal Court Accusing Two Dozen Companies Of Patent Infringement (LXK)

Aug 23, 2010 (SmarTrend News Watch via COMTEX) -- Lexmark International (NYSE:LXK) filed complaints with the U.S. International Trade Commission and a U.S. federal court accusing companies of infringing its patents through manufacturing, importation and sale of replacement laser cartridges.


The company is looking to ban imports and sales of the alleged infringements to protect sales and ward off potential competitors.

The complaints that were filed with the ITC and in a federal court in Ohio charge two dozen companies involved with infringing on at least 15 of Lexmark's U.S. patents.

Lexmark shares are currently trading 0.05% higher at $37.28.
