Welcome to the smarter utility community
At the onset of the smart grid, utilities focused primarily on smart metering. However, utilities are now moving beyond the meter and taking on a fresh set of applications positioned to significantly alter the electric energy industry. TMCnet's Smarter Utility community will highlight how companies investing in additional application services, including smart energy solutions, intelligent networks, wireless solutions, data storage and security, and data management, can further extend their footprint and strengthen their network infrastructure. Already a leader in telecommunications services, AT&T is working to renew our nation's smart grid by partnering with multiple experts in the smart grid field to enhance energy efficiency and reliability and eventually provide cost-savings to consumers.
